Ackerman Security
Ackerman Security a very well known local security system and installation company based in Atlanta, GA has reportedly closed its Atlanta based office. Originally reported as selling roughly 50% of its client base to ADT, reportedly as of July 2022 Guardian of Georgia has sold the remainder of Ackerman Security to Las Vegas-based Intrusion Protection Systems. Intrusion Protection Systems will retain the Ackerman brand. All Ackerman employees were laid off.
A banking pullback in the residential security industry caused Ackerman Security to look for new owners and partner with national security company ADT as reported in the Atlanta business chronicle.
At Premier Security, we have received call after call with former Ackerman customers wanting to switch immediately to our service for a variety of reasons. Please be aware that you might still be under a contractual obligation to the former company. These contracts are transferred to the new company that bought Ackerman accounts whether it is ADT or Intrusion Protection Systems. Some equipment might be locked out to the prior company and need to be replaced, but usually everything flows seamlessly and the switch over is painless. If you are still under contract and choose to wait the time period out, Premier Security will switch you over to our service as soon as you complete your contractual obligation. Even if it is three years down the road!

From their responsive and extremely knowledgeable service rep (Chris is GREAT!) to their friendly billing and support staff - Premier has it down to do it right every time.
